This new feature mandates creators to disclose when their content incorporates altered or synthetic media, including generative AI, such as DeepFakes.
According to YouTube, these disclosures will be prominently displayed as labels either in the expanded description section or directly on the front of the video player itself. It’s important to note that content featuring animation or special effects, which is clearly identifiable as unrealistic, will not require this disclosure.
