Samsung has unveiled a new global initiative aimed at improving smartphone repairability by sharing its advanced repair skills with service centers worldwide. The South Korean tech giant announced the Domestic Service Experts Overseas Dispatch program, which will involve sending Samsung’s expert instructors to different countries to train local technicians. This program, launched as a regular initiative this year, is part of Samsung’s broader effort to ensure that customers around the world receive top-notch repair services.
Expanding Global Service Capabilities
In a press release, Samsung highlighted the program’s objective of addressing the disparity in repair service quality between South Korea and other regions. By deploying experienced instructors to international service centers, Samsung aims to enhance both repair services and customer consultations, ultimately improving the overall user experience.
As part of this initiative, Samsung recently dispatched a Galaxy service expert instructor to India. The instructor visited eight major service centers across the country, sharing valuable knowledge with the local teams. The focus was on teaching the advanced single-piece repair technique for smartphone displays. This method, which involves disassembling the display unit and replacing only the necessary parts, requires a high level of technical skill and specialized equipment. India’s Mobile Screen Repair Center (MSRC), the largest hub for smartphone display repairs in the country, benefited significantly from this training.
Expanding to Other Devices
Samsung’s new program isn’t limited to smartphones. The company plans to extend this expertise to other devices, including home appliances and smart TVs. Next month, Samsung will send a home appliance and TV service specialist instructor to the Philippines to train local technicians on repairing AI-powered home appliances. This expansion is part of Samsung’s commitment to providing world-class service across all its product categories, ensuring that customers receive the best possible support regardless of their location.
By rolling out this program globally, Samsung is setting a new standard in service excellence, reinforcing its position as a leader in both technology and customer care.
