Apple is rumored to unveil its new lineup of iMac and MacBook Pro models in November 2024, featuring the next-generation M4 chipsets. This update comes as part of Apple’s commitment to advancing its Apple Silicon technology, first introduced with the M4 chipset in the recent iPad Pro models.

Upcoming Apple Event and Expected Launch According to a report from MacRumors, Apple’s typically October Mac-related event might shift to November this year. The refreshed MacBook Pro models, including the entry-level 14-inch variant, are expected to upgrade from the current M3 chipset to the new M4. This update is anticipated to enhance performance, particularly in artificial intelligence (AI) tasks.

M4 Chipset Enhancements The mid-tier and high-end MacBook Pro models are rumored to be equipped with the M4 Pro and M4 Max SoCs, offering even greater performance boosts. These new chipsets will likely offer significant improvements over their predecessors, making them ideal for professional use.

Mac Mini and Mac Updates The Mac Mini is also expected to receive a major redesign. According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, the new Mac mini will be the “smallest ever desktop computer” and could resemble an iPad Pro in a compact form. It will be available in two variants with M4 and M4 Pro chips.

Similarly, the 2024 Mac will benefit from the M4 chipset upgrade. Although the design of the iMac is not anticipated to change drastically, Apple may introduce new color options.

The anticipated launch of Apple’s new iMac and MacBook Pro models with M4 chipsets in November 2024 promises to bring significant advancements in performance and efficiency. As Apple completes its transition to M4 chipsets across its devices, including laptops and desktops, users can look forward to enhanced capabilities and new features.
