The highly anticipated OnePlus 13 is expected to be unveiled next month, emerging as the latest flagship smartphone from the company. Recent reports suggest that this device could be among the first to feature the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset from Qualcomm. A recent leak has provided a glimpse of the OnePlus 13, showcasing a redesigned rear camera layout that includes an upgraded periscope camera.

Leaked image reveals new camera layout

An image shared by tipster Digital Chat Station on Weibo, translated from Chinese, shows the rumored OnePlus 13 encased in a protective cover. Unlike its predecessors, which featured a similar camera arrangement, the upcoming model appears to sport a new camera island design. However, details remain limited, and it’s unclear whether the phone will maintain a circular rear camera module.

Upgraded Camera Features

The leak hints that the OnePlus 13 will include a more advanced periscope camera sensor compared to the OnePlus 12. Although specific hardware details have not been disclosed, the device is expected to utilize the same image processing algorithm as the forthcoming Oppo Find X8 series, rumored to launch in China next month.

With the integration of an upgraded periscope camera, along with Oppo’s image processing capabilities and OnePlus‘ collaboration with Hasselblad, the OnePlus 13 aims to be a strong contender in the mobile photography arena.

Anticipated Camera Specifications

Previous reports indicate that the OnePlus 13 will feature a robust camera setup, including a 50-megapixel primary camera equipped with a Sony LYT-808 sensor and an f/1.6 aperture. Additionally, it is likely to include a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens and a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. More detailed specifications are expected to emerge in the weeks leading up to the phone’s launch.

With the tagline “Never Settle,” the OnePlus 13 is shaping up to be an exciting addition to the lineup of new Android phones and 5G smartphones.
